Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pop mobile application (the "App"), operated by Pop ("we," "us"). By creating an account, using the App as a guest, or otherwise using Pop, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Pop. By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You can use Pop as a guest or by creating an account (via phone number, email, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google). You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you create an account after using the App as a guest, your local data will be migrated to your new account.

3. Description of the Service

Pop lets you track your medications against a personal daily schedule, log doses as taken, and view your adherence over time. Pop Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Pop Circle is an optional feature that lets you share your daily medication-adherence status with another Pop user, only after you both explicitly agree to connect.

4. Medical Disclaimer — Please Read Carefully

Pop is an organizational tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Pop does not verify, and is not responsible for, the accuracy of any medication information you enter.
• Reminders and notifications are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed to be delivered on time, or at all — due to factors outside our control (device settings, operating system behavior, connectivity, and so on). Do not rely on Pop as your only method of remembering to take medication if missing a dose could seriously harm your health.
• Always follow the instructions of your doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified health provider regarding your medications. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately — do not use Pop.
• Pop Circle sharing is intended for personal accountability between people who trust each other (e.g., family members). It is not a clinical monitoring system and should not be relied on by caregivers as a safety-critical alert mechanism.

5. Subscriptions (Pop Pro)

• Pop Pro is billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, on the plan (e.g., monthly/yearly) and at the price shown to you before purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple/Google account subscription settings — Pop cannot cancel it for you. In the App, go to Settings → Manage Subscription for a direct link.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID/Google account at confirmation of purchase and at renewal.
• No refunds are issued by Pop directly for unused subscription time — refund requests are handled by Apple/Google under their own policies.
• You can restore a previous purchase using Settings → Restore Purchases.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Pop Circle to harass, impersonate, or misrepresent yourself to another user
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation, or attempt to reverse-engineer it
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

If you connect with someone through Pop Circle, you can remove or block that connection at any time. If you believe someone is misusing the feature, use the in-app "Report" option or contact us at support@joinpop.app.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pop and its owners/operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App — including any harm resulting from a missed or mistimed medication reminder.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Account Termination and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → My Account → "Reset App & Delete Account" — this permanently deletes your account and associated data (see our Privacy Policy for details). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, and content (excluding data you enter), is owned by Pop and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

10. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app notice or updating the "Last updated" date). Continuing to use Pop after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
